Store, Prep, Cook, Clean and Eat – Work and Play – the place where it all happens! The place where your personality comes to life.
Store: The island is an ideal area to store utensils, spices, cookbooks and anything else that you might need in that part of your kitchen, also a great way to showcase your favorite items.
Prep: A great spot to get food ready for the next step – cooking!
Cook: It’s time to fire up the grill…. or simply turn on the microwave. Your island can become your stage to show off your cooking skills.
Eat: A great spot to pull a chair to enjoy a meal or just enjoy a conversation. The island truly can become the heart of the kitchen.

The color has been surfacing as an increasingly talked-about color in home finishes lately. And I have a few ideas why.
To its credit, grey gives a softer-than-white contrast from the bold power choices of turquoise and yellow that are trending as popular in home decor and maybe we’re looking for calmer, relaxing hues to surround our family’s hearth.
Whatever the reason, designers are looking at grey as an increasingly popular choice for home finishes. And the product designers are giving us more options when it comes to the shades of grey. At the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show, Wellborn showcased their new shades of grey including Willow.
While some designers say ‘grey is the new white,’ it’s not exactly taking over white in market share or popularity. But it’s a hue that might be perfect as a backdrop for your next remodeling project.

Congratulations to Mr. Ken Ruhland for winning the Made in America Contest. This fall Mr. Ruhland and a guest will be our honored guests at Wellborn Cabinet, Inc.
The event will include a private manufacturing facility tour conducted by one of the Wellborn Family members – Ken and a guest will get to see how cabinetry is truly made – from the logs arriving at our plant for processing to finished products being loaded on our own fleet of trucks. They will also get to meet the people of Wellborn Cabinet throughout the tour and get a glimpse into what teamwork & family are truly all about.
After all the day’s work Ken will be treated to fun on the lake – boat riding, fishing and skeet shooting to finish the long day at the Wellborn Cabinet Campus.
We can’t wait to meet Ken and family and for him to meet all of us!
Thank you to all that entered!
